About Chard Museum
Chard Museum exists to help today's community uncover yesterday's heritage, history and hidden stories. It is a small local museum based in Chard, Somerset, that opened in 1970 and celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. It is housed in a converted 16th century thatched, listed building. It was originally four cottages. Later it incorporated the building next door which had been the New Inn Public House.
