Mental health is now recognised as on a par with physical health. However, it is still not funded in the same way. Mind in Somerset is a fast growing charity reaching out to both adults and young people with mental health problems throughout Somerset. The Trustees are keen that when people think about mental health in Somerset they think of Mind in Somerset. The charity covers many areas including a Suicide Bereavement Service, Young People’s Groups, A Mindline and TransGender Mindline and this year we have put in place a Drop-in Service at all our offices from 9am to 10pm. Plus all the projects for Adult Mental Health that we cover. We are looking for three Trustees to join our Board. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the leadership of Mind in Somerset.. It is not necessary to have experience of mental health but it would be advantageous. We meet monthly but it would be good if you were also prepared to go to the occasional event/meeting outside of the committee meetings and act as an Ambassador for the charity Please make an application to the address below with your current CV and a covering letter as to why you would like to be interviewed for this post.

There will be an induction process and new Trustees can apply to go on specific courses for Trustees and Governance Committee meetings take place monthly for 2.5 hours in Ilminster.
