Peer Connections is a new mentoring project covering all areas of Somerset for people affected by mental health challenges to give and receive support. The project aims to help people with their health and well-being, through mutually supportive one-to-one relationships over a period of around three months. We train people with lived experience of mental health challenges who would like to support others as "mentors" and then match them to people who need support to assist with their recovery. Shared lived experience of what works for them, finding ways of achieving individual health and well-being goals.
