Somerset County Council’s Leaving Care Team supports young people aged 16-25 years old who are in transition from Care to Living Independently. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and flexible volunteers to join them as a Positive Living Volunteer – Supported Housing. You will work alongside the team to facilitate support sessions in supported housing. There may be an opportunity for 1-to-1 or supporting group work later.

The client group is aged between 16 and 25 so need to have a volunteer aged 22 years at least (this is an Ofsted requirement) with life experience and prepared to adapt to whatever the situation requires at the time, e.g. you may start by discussing food hygiene and cooking and end up by helping to clean the kitchen with the young person.

The role is located in either Taunton or Bridgwater
