Restorative Justice Volunteer (Victim Support) - Locations across Somerset
If you are interested in supporting young people, this role could be for you. The role is rewarding and challenging. You will get to use your own skills and knowledge in making a real difference to the lives of children and young people. Well facilitated restorative interventions change lives for the better.
The role of will involve:
1.To contact, by telephone, victims of crimes committed by 10 to 17 years old offenders to explore their thoughts and feelings and explore community resolutions and disposals where appropriate.
2. Record the victim’s views, thoughts and feelings and report back to the supervisor.
3. Attend and assist, on occasion, meetings with victims and offenders to enable Restorative Justice work to be completed
We currently have two volunteers in this role and are not looking to recruit in the near future.
