Join Santa's little helpers this November! We need volunteers to help us run our pop up charity Christmas card shop at Vicarage St Methodist Church at the bottom of the Quedam Centre in Yeovil, in the run up to Christmas. The shop is open until December 17th 2019. Opening times are Monday to Saturday 10am - 3.30pm. Ideally, volunteers will be able to offer at least one regular 3hr session a week. We will need you to accept cash and card payments through the till, restock our lovely cards and gifts and generally keep our customers jolly. There are always at least two volunteers on duty at all times. In return, we offer a happy working environment, plenty of support, a chance to meet volunteers from other local charities, an opportunity to get some retail and customer service experience and the satisfaction of knowing you are making a real difference to a range of over 25 national and local charities. Many of our volunteers return year after year and the shop becomes a real, community festive hub. We are looking for people with common sense and a happy disposition who want to offer something at this time of year to support others. In return, we offer a happy working environment, plenty of support, a chance to meet volunteers from other local charities, an opportunity to get some retail and customer service experience and the satisfaction of knowing you are making a real difference to a range of over 25 national and local charities. Many of our volunteers return year after year and the shop becomes a real, community festive hub. We are now open and are looking for volunteers to start immediately. We are open from 10am to 3.30pm Monday to Saturday and would ideally like volunteers to commit to at least one 3hr session per week until the shop closes for this year on 17th December.
