Detailed description

Come and spend the day on our beautiful farm in Chesterblade, 20 minutes from Frome, 10 minutes from Shepton Mallet. We need help to tidy up, weed, and help set the foundations for a Forest Garden. Different tasks at different times of the year. We are planting orchards and edible plants. There are also areas around the farm yard which need some green fingers, tidying up, weeding, creating landscaped areas. Paths, seating areas, some painting. Its a beautiful quiet place to spend some time in and around nature. Experience of farm life, nature connection, being part of a worthwhile cause creating a space for people and the land to flourish together. Come for either a day a week or whatever you can, it will be appreciated!

About Chesterblade Hills

We are looking to welcome bright souls to our family farm who can help us slowly develop an old livestock farm yard and buildings to become a beautiful space to host educational groups; nature connection events, discussion events, music and arts, Forest gardening and herbalism courses.

Looking for people to help create a forest garden, build ponds and dams, renovation of old farm buildings into arts/education/workshop spaces, learning / weeding to prepare. We also want to create a modern day henge - a temple to Nature : )

My husband Ed is a 7th generation farmer and custodian of the land. I, Annadina, joined him here in 2018 and together we are creating a sustainable, nature-based farm to help build community resilience for the future. We have plans in place to plant a large part of the farm with trees, to create woodlands for future generations and host small, land-based businesses who need access to land.
