Our team of highly skilled, trained, volunteers provide one to one, telephone or group support to those who have been bereaved right across Somerset and we need more volunteers to train to help others.

About Cruse Bereavement Care Somerset
Cruse Bereavement Care (Cruse) is the largest bereavement charity in the UK and provides support to children, young people and adults regardless of the cause of death or the length of time since the bereavement.
Cruse provides a range of services including access to information and support, helpline, email, group and face to face support alongside response to major incidents in local communities.
Bereavement impacts on every individual and sadly recent tragic events in England has highlighted the impact bereavement has on a community. Helping bereaved people understand their loss, cope with their grief can lessen the risk of negative outcomes to physical and mental well-being as a result of bereavement. Feedback from individuals who have used Cruse Bereavement Care in Somerset has highlighted the need for bereaved people to have access to timely and appropriate information and access to information which provides reassurance which many people have stated meets their needs at that point.
