Accurate recording and description of items accessioned into the collection enables the collection held at the Community Heritage Access Centre to be readily and more easily available to the public on whose behalf SSDC cares for the collection. This would also help in the preparation of exhibitions, insurance returns and research into local history. You would be accurately inputting document record sheets on to MODES (our computer system) when they have been completed by other volunteers. Our usual volunteer day is a Wednesday.
