Summary

This role provides telephone support from hospice premises to bereaved relatives and friends fully supported by our Bereavement Support Staff

Detailed description

As a bereavement support volunteer you will provide information and low level emotional support for those who have been affected by the death of a person close to them who has been in the care of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice Care.

Active listening and good verbal communication skills are vital for this role.

  • You are required to attend induction, update training and regular supervision
  • For this role we are required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
