Seeking a volunteer Treasurer

Are you looking for a voluntary role as a trustee where you can use your financial skills to make a difference for families and individuals who need emergency food and support?

West Somerset Food Cupboard is looking for a Treasurer to join a motivated and enthusiastic group of trustees. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can give 1 to 2 hours per week to make a difference in the local community of West Somerset, including parts of Exmoor.

The Food Cupboard charity is currently working with local agencies and partners to set up an exciting new project – The Local Pantry, which will provide low-cost surplus food and prevent food waste. Your remit would be to provide general financial management of all our activities including budgeting, planning and reporting.

Here’s a few facts about the difference we make:

•      We've provided over 16,800 food parcels!

•      Staffed by a great group of committed volunteers.

•      Supply food boxes to 25 agencies to distribute to their clients.

•      Direct support for people in food crisis.
