Yeovil Railway Centre would like to recruit one or two new volunteers for its shop. You will play a valuable part by being part of our public face.

You will play an important part of Yeovil Railway Centre by volunteering in the shop, not only by providing valuable sales income but also talking to visitors and helping them with information.

The shop is open on Sunday mornings, 10am to noon, and longer during events (to 4pm), occasionally on other days. The work involves talking to customers, dealing with their purchases in cash or by card, answering occasional phone calls and taking in donations of books, DVDs etc.

There is a rota system so attendance every week is not required and training will be provided.

Previous experience useful but not essential. You will need to be comfortable with dealing with our visitors and handling cash.

We are a friendly group and we hope you would enjoy your time. You can also help with other tasks around the site if you wish. Please get in touch and we can show you around.
