Volunteering for the Duke of Edinburgh Award on Spark a Change

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a great way to get started in volunteering and is available to anyone between the ages of 16 and 24. (14+ for Bronze Award). First introduced in 1954, it has now helped 100,000s of young people into volunteering.

The award is made up of 4 stage (Bronze, Silver, Gold) the length of which is dependent on the level and includes: volunteering, physical, skills & expedition.

By taking part in DofE, young people can

  • increase skills and confidence
  • boost their CV
  • develop a career
  • get to know and give back to their community
  • make lasting friendships
  • boost mental health
