Summary
The adventures we organise for the children aged 8-10 1/2 years old depend on volunteers aged over 18 to lead them on Thursday evenings.Detailed description
Scouting is about teamwork and we’re there to support you every step of the way. This is your adventure. The Section Team Member is part of a team that works together to plan, deliver, and run quality programmes safely. Cubs usually meet on Thursdays from 6:45 to 8:15pm, but there are also occasional day trips or overnight events. The team make sure all young people can take part in the programme and gain skills for life by:
- Creating a safe environment
- Planning and delivering a great programme
- Making sure there's a great culture for everyone
You don't need to have any scouting experience. Enthusiasm is the only qualification required.
Your journey begins with an induction. This will guide you through the early weeks. You can complete training modules in different ways. You can use e-learning or virtual courses. You can also use workbooks. Sometimes, a County Training Team member teaches these at different places in the County.
