Summary

We are seeking special young people who love books and would like to make a difference in the lives of a few children

Detailed description

We are seeking special young people who love books and would like to make a difference in the lives of a few children.

Beanstalk supports children in primary schools who are falling behind in literacy.

We recruit, train and support volunteers who go into schools and spend one on one time with children, building their self confidence, their enjoyment of reading and their success in education. Most of the schools we work in in Somerset are around Wells but there are a few elsewhere.

We ask that you commit to volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours a week in term time for at least years, which is perfect for your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Please get in touch if you're interested!
