For people recovering from illness, or who are facing a recent diagnosis, being able to stay in their own home can make all the difference.
Our Support at Home Volunteers help with shopping, getting to appointments or checking in with a phone call. Spread the power of kindness with us and help make a difficult and distressing time a little bit easier.
We are looking for volunteers who will be able to:
- commit for at least 2 hours a week from Monday- Friday between 9 am to 6pm.
- commit for minimum of 6 months
- Are over 18 years old, and have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK and have access to your own vehicle.
- Live within Somerset
- This particular role will not involve bringing service users home from hospital.
- Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo an Enhanced with Adults barred Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Access to IT and able to complete training which is mainly online (eLearning) and zoom
