ONCOLOGY VOLUNTEER DRIVER BRISTOL & SOMERSET - This service is based out of the British Red Cross office in Taunton, TA2 6BD however if you use your own vehicle, you can set off directly from home.
This service supports people across Somerset and Bristol to attend Outpatients at Musgrove Beacon Centre or Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
We would like volunteers who are;
- Are looking to support people in need within their local community
- Have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK
- Have a car or access to the Taunton office TA2 6BD to use our vehicle
- Able to volunteer regularly
- The service operating hours are 8am to 8pm. Your availability and location will be discussed on a regular basis and trips will be allocated to match your circumstances
- Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo an Enhanced with Adults barred Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Are available to undertake approximately 11 hours of required e-learning modules and Zoom training sessions in the first few months of volunteering plus other plus further developmental service specific trainings as required.
