Summary
Escapeline is looking for new trustees to bring further breadth and experience to the Board. This is an unpaid, part-time position within our small team.Detailed description
We are currently looking for new trustees to bring further breadth and experience to the Board.
Trustees are unpaid volunteers who carry the overall legal responsibility for the decisions and actions of the charity. The trustees ensure that Escapeline has a clear strategy and that its work and goals are in line with the charity’s vision. As a trustee of the charity you will:
- Directly contribute to the development and success of the charity from developing strategy and services to managing day to day governance
- Attend quarterly trustee meetings and additional sub-committee meetings as required
- Be actively involved in the fundraising and hands on tasks of the charity
- Ensure the assets of the charity are used in an efficient and sustainable way
- Be involved in decisions that impact on the lives of young people in South West England
Who we are looking for:

- A flexible approach to the role
- Skills to benefit the charity’s development
Skills we are looking to recruit to the board include:
- Previous experience in not-for-profit sector
- Public Services (Exploitation)
- Academia (Exploitation and youth)
- Youth social work or teaching backgrounds
- Fundraising (bid writing and events)
In return you will be actively involved in helping our growing team to protect young people from child exploitation across South West England.

Escapeline is a small, local charity committed to the prevention of child exploitation by criminal gangs across South West England. We do this through education and awareness, working with young people, parents, professionals and the wider community. We put experts-by-experience at the centre of our work, providing non-judgemental support to those at risk of exploitation.
