Summary

We are a small Community Interest Company (CIC). As Treasurer you will be a committee member and therefore attend three or four meetings a year.

Detailed description

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to help with the running of a small group (turnover about £10,000 a year) and be part of a group that helps people of all ages access the outdoors for play, education & their mental health.

This role would suit someone who:

  • has good numerical and analytical skills
  • is able to set-up and maintain accurate financial records
  • is able to present and explain financial information clearly
  • has good computer skills (including Excel) and access to a computer

What’s involved?

You will need to:

  • maintain up-to-date accounting records
  • prepare accounts and financial statements/reports


This role is suitable for someone with experience of accounting/finances or an ideal opportunity for someone to learn the job, perhaps someone who is training in accounting or something similar. Working from home the task will take about 2– 3 hrs a month. Any costs incurred in the role will be reimbursed.

As Treasurer you will be a committee member and therefore attend three or four committee meetings a year (including AGM).

About Holly & Hawthorn

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) providing forest school & other opportunities for outdoor play and education. We deliver to a whole range of people of all ages from toddlers to adults. We are interested in giving participants the opportunity to safely access to the outdoors –especially natural wild and woodland environments. Sessions include green woodworking, whittling, natural & traditional crafts, bush craft type skills and nature activities.
