We are seeking volunteers to support us at local events, and at our ticketed talks. From selling raffle tickets to providing information about us to the public.Detailed description
Throughout the year the Society attends local fetes and events to publicise the work we do as well as fundraise. We also put on ticketed talks and fundraising events.
We are seeking volunteers to assist our trustees at these events, with everything from putting up our gazebo and stand, selling raffle tickets, providing support on our events stands and manning out ticket box office.
If you have an interest in local history and are willing to spare a few hours we would be very grateful of your support.
Upcoming events include:
A stall at Ilminster's Party on the Park in August (daytime)
A historic talk in October (evening)
A fundraising evening (including disco and quiz) in November (evening)
All events are based in Ilminster and we are happy to hear from volunteers who can give a few hours or a whole day.
