Event Assistant

Role Overview: As an Event Assistant, you’ll support the successful running of stalls, promotional stands, and fundraising events at local events and community engagements we attend and participate in. This position is perfect for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and contributing to community-focused activities.

Time Commitment: This role offers flexible hours, primarily on weekends and evenings both during and in the run up to events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the setup of gazebos, tables, stalls, and other event equipment.
• Looking after stalls, engaging with visitors, and selling goods.
• Talking to people about the work of In The Mix, the services we offer, and encouraging community involvement.
• Operating fun games or raffles to raise funds for our projects and initiatives.
• Helping to run fundraising events like car boot sales, car washes and bake sales.
• Providing information on and assisting with new youth memberships.
• Tidying up and ensuring all equipment is properly stored at the end of the day.
