Summary

Langley Trust has an exciting volunteer opportunity for an outgoing and positive individual to join us in the role of Volunteer Fitness Activities Leader

Detailed description

Langley Trust has an exciting volunteer opportunity for an outgoing and positive individual to join us in the role of Volunteer Fitness Activities Leader at our housing and resettlement services where we support clients with multiple needs.

We are looking for individuals to engage clients in activities which will help improve their fitness and well-being, engaging and motivating them to make positive life changes.

With the support of our project team, you will help find and organise the best activities to engage our clients, from walking groups to trips to the local gym and much more…

This is a great opportunity for someone to share their love of fitness and well-being in a setting where you can make a real and lasting difference in the lives of our clients.

Key responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Service Manager and other staff members:

1.   Research fitness activities that clients can attend, such as swimming, team games etc.

2.   Help to support staff with the walking group activities.

3.   Help to network and connect with voluntary, community and faith organisations to broaden the activities offer.

4.   Encourage and accompany clients who are interested in attending the local gym and supporting them to take part.

5.   Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed.

6.   Support the production of Risk Assessments for approval for activities as needed.
