On the 25th of January we are looking for help to plant a mix of hedgerow trees at Manor Fields in the Mendips. This will support our work to create wood pasture and recolonise the woodland edge at King's Wood. We will provide all the equipment needed, but please bring suitable clothes for working outside and sturdy boots. Please note, there is no parking and facilities at Manor Fields, we will meet at King’s Wood Car Park at 10am and walk down to the site. Please book a place by visiting nationaltrust/visit/somerset/mendip-hills
About National Trust - Somerset Coast & Countryside
As Europe’s largest conservation charity, we look after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy. We do it with the help of millions of members, volunteers, staff and donors. Without this, we couldn’t care for the miles of coastline, woodlands, countryside and the hundreds of historic buildings, gardens and precious collections we protect.
Volunteering on the coast or in the countryside enables you to get outdoors and play a vital role in managing and conserving precious natural environments for both people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
