About Royal Voluntary Service

The Royal Voluntary Service wants to help create a society where everyone feels valued and involved whatever their age. We are one of the largest volunteer organisations in the country. Our volunteers help out in our shops, and cafes and work in our local services helping older people stay active, independent and able to continue to contribute and be a part of our society. We do this by providing practical and emotional help where and when its needed.
We offer the Home Library Service which is available to anyone who cannot easily get to the library. Our volunteers will choose and deliver books and befriend people in their own home.
