Summary

Volunteer to help children maintain and build relations with parents after separation.

Detailed description

We are a registered charity and run Child Contact Centres in Bridgwater, Chard, Taunton, Yeovil, Weston-super-Mare and Wincanton. Our Centres are accredited with the National Association of Child Contact Centres. We provide safe places where the children of separated parents can meet the parent they no longer live with.

We are looking for volunteers for all our Centres. The role means occasional Saturday mornings (10am to 12 noon) in Bridgwater or Taunton, Saturday afternoons (2pm to 4pm) in Bridgwater, Chard, Weston-super-Mare or Yeovil, or Saturday mornings in Wincanton. This can be as frequently as you like. The role requires a DBS check.

Our priority is the interests of the child. The role is not demanding, but volunteers are essential for our work. To ensure an appropriate level of oversight and care we need three volunteers for each of our sessions, in addition to the coordinator who is responsible for organising and running the sessions.
