Libraries - Activities and Events Volunteer - Various locations across Somerset

As a Somerset Libraries volunteer, there are a variety of different ways that you can get involved and support your local library. From helping library staff with stock deliveries and customer requests, to running activities and events or even assisting customers with digital skills, our volunteers become valuable members of the library team. Our volunteers bring a variety of experience, knowledge and skills and contribute to making libraries a vibrant and exciting place to visit - supporting libraries to deliver a range of opportunities and activities to our customers that also benefit the wider community.

This is a great opportunity to develop a variety of skills. You will get the opportunity to support the library team and could help to set up and run a regular activity or support in a variety of events that happen within the library. This could include: rhyme time sessions, Lego club, craft activities, reading and poetry groups, health related activities or knit and natter groups. If you have a flair for design, you could also support by producing posters and displays to publicise events in the library.
