Summary

A volunteer is required to produce a bi-monthly / quarterly Members Newsletter and a bi-annual Supporters Newsletter

Detailed description

SLaMS is a small (currently <£25K annual turnover) charity, See our Annual Reports on The Charity Commission website for details of what we do.

As we begin to move forward with our plans to expand our facilities and activities in Bridgwater, reaching out to more people at risk of social isolation, we are now looking for a volunteer to produce a bi-monthly or quarterly Members Newsletter and a bi-annual Supporters Newsletter. .

Your Members Newsletter will significantly increase the sense of community and belonging experienced by Shed members, thereby contributing to their overall health and wellbeing. Your Supporters Newsletter will keep our Men's Shed "front of mind" for the Signposting Agencies that refer prospective members to us. For our Corporate Partners this newsletter will inform them of our activities, and the positive impacts for our members and the wider community.

While this role could be undertaken remotely, you will gain much from periodic visits to the Shed and interaction with a diverse group of people, listening to their heart-warming stories and developing the ongoing narrative around our Men's Shed community.
