Summary

The admin volunteer is responsible for providing administration support, to staff within the Supportive Care Team

Detailed description

St Margaret’s is looking for people to join the team at St Margaret's Hospice who will bring their skills, talent and enthusiasm to the heart of our organisation as we respond to the changing needs of our community.

This is a voluntary role and based in Yeovil.


Time commitment

Day/Times: Wednesday or Thursday

Frequency: Weekly/fortnightly


Brief description of main tasks and activities

Typical tasks may include:

  • Entering and/or analysing data, electronically.
  • Electronic filing and scanning.
  • Preparing information packs.

You will need to enjoy being part of a team, but able to undertake tasks without being supervised.

This task forms part of the data protection action plan.


We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience in the use of IT systems, such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Is methodical and doesn’t mind repetitive tasks.

  • Data protection awareness
  • Electronic file management

About St Margarets Hospice Care

We are committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Our care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
