Do you like children? Our pre-school nursery is looking for volunteers who would like to give some one-to-one help to young children who are struggling.
Everyone learns faster with a little one-to-one support. For some children this is even more important. Noise can be overwhelming and learning to focus can be hard. Or it could be that a child has a hearing problem and needs that one to one time to develop their communication skills.
Giving them this attention now will help to prevent them falling behind later at school - these early years are so important. As a volunteer, you might be working with a child on a one-to-one basis, or you might be working with the rest of the group so a member of staff can give a child more focused attention.
If you have worked with children in the past, or have skills that you think will be useful in helping these children, we would love to hear from you.
You will need a DBS check - if you don't have one, we will apply for one for you.
