Event Assistant

Commitment: Flexible hours, primarily on weekends and event days

Role Overview: As an Event Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the success of our local events. This position is perfect for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and contributing to community-focused activities.

• Event Setup: Assisting with the setup of gazebos, stalls, and other event equipment.
• Stall Management: Looking after stalls, engaging with visitors, and selling goods.
• Public Engagement: Talking to people about the work of YMCA Taunton, the services we offer, and encouraging community involvement.
• Fundraising: Operating fun games or raffles to raise funds for YMCA Taunton's programs and initiatives.
• Membership Promotion: Providing information on and assisting with the creation of YMCA memberships.
• Event Takedown: Tidying up and ensuring all equipment is properly stored at the end of the day.
