Join YRCT to help pull invasive himalyan balsam from an area of Dodham Brook which runs through Ninesprings park in Yeovil.

We will also be plants marginal aquatic plants and sowing wildflower seed.


All of these actions will help to enhance the flora and improve the habitat for wildlife. Pulling the balsam helps to minimise bank erosion by ensuring good coverage of native plants which with help bind the banks with their roots in the winter months.


Sturdy footwear and covered arms and legs are essential for this task.
