Summary

able2achieve has been supporting lots of local groups with outdoor community spaces. We are looking for someone who can advise on the gardening we undertake.

Detailed description

We are looking for someone who could volunteer a few hours of their time a month to visit some of the projects we support and advise the work being carried out on the gardens.

This would include how to look after existing planting, best planting to add and occasionally demonstrating technical skills such as pruning our taking cuttings.

Many of these projects are run by community volunteers. Between us we have the work force to get jobs done, but lack the horticulture skill to make these places thrive.

Ranging from community gardens that aim to bring people together, Hospital gardens to aid with patient recovery as well as larger rewilding projects to help nature, you would be supporting amazing work taking place across Somerset.

By aiding our Learners efforts, you will be supporting the personal achievement of Adults with Learning Disabilities as well as the communities we work with, including the wildlife we work alongside.
