Summary

We help people resolve their problems and find a way forward, but we can’t do it without our volunteer advisers

Detailed description

Can You:

  • Listen with an open mind,
  • Put people at their ease and explain things clearly,
  • Research and interpret advice options,
  • Type, use computers and online applications reasonably confidently,
  • Able to commit to a 12 week training programme - with ongoing development,
  • Volunteer for 4 to 8 hours a week, once trained, at flexible times that suit you.

If you can say ‘yes’ to all the above and enjoy learning new skills, then you have everything you need to be a fantastic volunteer. Our volunteers tell us that the longer they volunteer with us the more rewarding they find their role.

Becoming a volunteer may seem a little daunting, but don't worry, you will be joining a supportive and friendly team. Whatever your experience, skills or interests, we probably have a role for you. We provide full training and support you in whatever role you choose to do.
