Can You:
- Listen with an open mind,
- Put people at their ease and explain things clearly,
- Research and interpret advice options,
- Type, use computers and online applications reasonably confidently,
- Able to commit to a 12 week training programme - with ongoing development,
- Volunteer for 4 to 8 hours a week, once trained, at flexible times that suit you.
If you can say ‘yes’ to all the above and enjoy learning new skills, then you have everything you need to be a fantastic volunteer. Our volunteers tell us that the longer they volunteer with us the more rewarding they find their role.

We are an independent charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice for people who live and work in Somerset. Providing quality advice on a wide range of topics such as: money/debt, housing, benefits, employment, consumer and relationship problems.
Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.
Volunteers are the life-force of our organisation and without them we would not be able to deliver the level of service we offer.
Becoming a volunteer may seem a little daunting, but don't worry, you will be joining a supportive and friendly team. Whatever your experience, skills or interests, we probably have a role for you. We provide full training and support you in whatever role you choose to do.
