About The Reader

We’re a national charity that wants to bring about a Reading Revolution so that everyone can experience and enjoy great literature, which we believe is a tool for helping humans survive and live well.
We run Shared Reading groups across the country. In Somerset, our Community Groups run in libraries and are open to everyone. Shared reading combats social isolation, builds self-confidence and encourages people to connect with each other. It is also very enjoyable.
